Hamelner Töpferei (1922–1966) was shaped by Gertrud Kraut (1883–1980), founder of the pottery together with Georg Rawitscher, founding member of GEDOK, a member of the Deutscher Werkbund. Other well-known designers were Douglas Hill, Hildegard Delius and Peter Delius. The ceramics are characterised by clear forms and particularly beautiful glazes.
